Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle Vegetables
Includes kitchen scraps (vegetable peels, roots, seeds) and wilted, not-so-prime vegetables.
Reduce
Become carnivorous.
Reuse
If the vegetables are still somewhat edible but not “pretty”, make chicken/vegetable stock/broth. Old and/or non-edible parts of carrots, celery, onions, asparagus stems, and herbs, work well.
Feed your peels or older, rotting veggies to your pet guinea pig, rabbit, hamster, goat, etc (thanks, Nancy).

If you have a pet goat, rabbit, hamster, guinea, pig, feed the scraps to them. They’re quite happy to much on peels or older vegetables.
